The Dekker uses very powerful 2 x 5-watt RGBW LED clusters to produce a very unique effect. As with most of the American DJ effects the Dekker can be used without a controller because it reacts to sound but it also has DMX capability so if you have a DMX-512 board already it should be easy to add this unit on.
