What is the New Commercial Series and what does it mean for you? The Commercial Series is part of the latest innovations from American DJ in Effect Lighting. This new group of lighting was designed for clubs, bowling centers, mobile DJs, and etc., in order to create an "intelligent" looking light show without expensive fixtures. Some of the new Commercial Series features include: Master/Slave, linkable via XLR cable, DMX channels, internal programs, and stepper motors. All Commercial Series effects come with at least a 1 year warranty. (Scotty II has a 3 year warranty.)
What can you expect from these lights? With the addition of the stepper motors, there is less chance of motor problems. The stepper motor is a smoother, quiter, and more reliable motor. Stepper motors contain no gears or cogs to break or chip. The use of DMX-512 and magnetics position the shaft. The linkable feature of this series allows you to link lights together using standard XLR cable. This makes one unit a Master and the other Slaves forcing them to react in sync with the master units' movements. This creates an intelligent looking dynamic light show. Runs off internal prorams, no programming required. This also gives you the ability to build your show up by adding lights to your system over time that can be linked and integrated nicely. When you are ready to take full DMX control of your lights, the Commercial Series is prepared to offer you the control you desire. Most of the series' members offer DMX control.
