We at Starlight Entertainment want you to know that we want you to be happy in every way with your purchase. We further realize that buying online limits you to because you are not able to view the product in action before purchasing it. This in our eyes is a disadvantage to buying over the internet. However, there are advantages to purchasing online that we believe outweigh the disadvantages. When you buy from us you will generally get a better deal over local stores because we have more competition on the internet forcing us to have more competitive prices. You also have a much broader selection of equipment when buying online vs. what local stores are able to keep on hand. Everyone on staff has worked in some industry dealing with the equipment we sell. This allows us to give you first hand knowledge about many of the products we sell because we also use them.
We are able to sell products at a lower cost to you (sometimes even lower than what is printed online) because we take careful measures to eliminate wasted expense on shipping and lost revenue due to returns. Generally speaking a customer will know if the item that was ordered is something that he/she will want to keep within the first few minutes of using it. All of this being said, our return policy is really quite simple. Our return policy is tailored for the honest customer who makes an informed purchase decision.
We provide a wealth of information about each product online. We also provide a toll free 800 number which every customer is encouraged to use to ask any questions. Additionally, we can also provide you a detailed users manual by email on most products. We like to talk with and get to know our customers and their specific needs. We realize that it is impossible for you to know everything there is to know about a product however the ultimate responsibility for any purchase lies on the purchaser. The better the communication and research done by the customer the better the outcome of your purchase.
We have a 15 day return policy. ALL returns are subject to a 20% restock fee unless an item has arrived to you damaged. If a damaged item arrives you are entitled to receive a replacement item in a prompt fashion.
In the event that an item arrives damaged we ask that you notify us first and we will take the appropriate measures to rectify the situation. We usually will send a replacement item to you on that very same day and send a call tag to pick up the damaged item. We will have to charge you for the new item until the damaged one is received by us or the manufacturer. We will then credit you back the charge for the damaged item minus your original freight charge.
We don't sell products on a "trial basis". If you purchase something from Starlight Entertainment it is expected by us that you know what you are purchasing. Although we don't believe people are like this as a general rule, some customers will purchase something that they need one time and then return it. THIS IS CALLED A RENTAL! If you are needing to rent something for a one time use please call and discuss it with a sales representative and we will try to assist you with a rental or with finding a rental company in your area. When customers purchase for a onetime use and then returns it all it does is drive up our costs and we have to raise prices to compensate for it. Our return policy is tailored for the honest customer who makes an informed purchase decision.
Under no circumstances will shipping for an item be refunded.
If you have talked to us about an item's specific functions and for some reason it doesn't do what we said it would then you are more than welcome to return the product within 15 days with no restock fee however the above rule still applies
Everyone makes mistakes and we realize that. In most cases if you are willing to purchase something to take the place of a returned item we will be able to reduce or eliminate your restock fee.
We can also reduce your restock fee to 10% if you are willing to take the refund in the form of in-store credit again shipping charges will not be refunded.
We believe this policy to be fair. It is important to note that not all circumstances will fit within the framework of this policy in those circumstances we will do our best to come to a reasonable result for both parties. All that we ask is that you know what you are buying and if you don't know just call and ask before buying it.
